Lorenzen Wright’s wife may have played role in his death

Sherra Wright-Robinson, ex-wife of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy in connection to his 2010 death. Wright’s decomposing body was found in suburban Memphis on July 28, 2010 — 10 days after the 34-year-old was reported missing. He had been shot multiple times. The seven-year investigation into his death has been one of the Memphis Police Department’s most high-profile unsolved cases.

The 6-foot-11 Wright played 13 seasons in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and most recently the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wright left the University of Memphis early for the NBA, and the Clippers made him a lottery pick with the No. 7 selection.

Sherra received $1 million dollars from her ex-husband’s life insurance policy
