Chicago police killed Adam, 13, last month. The video’s release comes days after an officer shot Daunte Wright dead in Minnesota and as Derek Chauvin stands trial for the murder of George Floyd.
On March 29, 2021, Adam Toledo, a 13-year-old Mexican American boy, was fatally shot by Chicago Police Department officer Eric Stillman in the Little Village neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. Bodycam footage of the shooting was released on April 15.
The boy does not appear to be holding a weapon when he was fatally shot, he had his hands up, however a weapon was found near the scene.
