Lady Kayne “Look Sweet” #NewSongAlert @Cali.FM

Cali FM Radio

lady kayne too sweet

Lady Kayne’s love of music began when, as a child, she listened to parties taking place at her godmother’s house or home in the living room when her mom’s friends came over. She’d sing along to her favorite songs by old school artists such as The O’Jay’s, Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, and The Whispers. When she could, she’d put on performances at family gatherings and events.

Lady Kayne spent evenings listening to Greg Street on the radio while doing homework. New School artists such as Dru Hill, New Edition, OutKast, 112, Ginuwine, Aaliyah, Blaque, Fefe Dobson, and Jagged Edge were her favorites. She’d often fall asleep to Joyce Latell and the Quiet Storm, which inspired a love for the soulful sounds of Anita Baker, Alicia Keys, and Ashanti. And when it came to rap, Lil Kim, Nas, and 2Pac were on her playlists.

Lady Kayne got her start in the industry while assisting KTEK when he engineered recording sessions for Bloc2Bloc Records. After learning how music is made, she was hooked. It wasn’t long before the artists she watched record asked her to sing the hook on their tracks. Loving what they heard, she was asked to feature on their songs. Inspired by the positive feedback, she began penning her songs. The results have been phenomenal.

Every song Lady Kayne is on will have you dancing. From hot dance tracks to soulful songs from the heart, her energy pulls you in. When she’s on stage, her performance garners attention from everyone in the room. Lady Kayne is a Boss and can back her lyrics. From Promotions Director at the Grind Factory Studios to Podcast Host on two Internet radio shows, her music is her truth, and she desires to inspire listeners to stay true to themselves, find happiness, and live your life.
